Commonly known as “silver powder,” aluminum powder is a silvery metallic pigment produced by adding a small amount of lubricant to pure aluminum foil, then pounding and crushing it into a flaky powder—finally polished to achieve its finished form.
Aluminum powder is incredibly lightweight, boasts excellent buoyancy, offers strong covering power, and exhibits outstanding reflectivity against both light and heat. Due to its wide range of applications, high demand, and diverse varieties, aluminum powder stands out as a major category within metallic pigments. In our daily lives, it can be used for fingerprint identification, as well as in fireworks, powder coatings, inks, plastic color masterbatches, printing processes, imitation gold paper, imitation gold cards, gold films, textiles—and countless other applications.
