The coating layer of waterborne aluminum paste made by silica coating process is relatively dense, and the storage time of the finished paint can keep one year.Due to the advantages of water-based aluminum slurry, such as good water resistance, excellent weather resistance, soluble in water and less gas release, it can be used in water-based coating system.It can be divided into the following two points in the process of use:
1. Before use: pre disperse the water-based aluminum powder slurry, soak it in the water-based silver slurry with deionized water (or distilled water or pure water) at a ratio of 1:1 for 5 minutes, and then stir it at a low speed until the dispersion is uniform.If the tap water is used, the tap water must be kept open for more than 24 hours to make full use of the residual chlorine in the tap water, because the free chlorine ion in the water has strong corrosiveness to silver paste.
2. When using: add the dispersed aluminum silver paste into the resin for mixing and stirring, and pay attention to the speed of stirring. Otherwise, the coating of aluminum silver paste will fall off, which will produce hydrogen or discharge VOC in direct contact with water. Therefore, the mixing time and speed should be controlled as far as possible.
