Do you know the tips for using aluminum silver paste? Before answering this question, let’s first familiarize ourselves with the basics of aluminum silver paste. As far as I know, it’s an inorganic metallic pigment composed of aluminum flakes, solvents, and additives—typically available in a paste or slurry form. It can give your target products a stunning silver appearance while also providing excellent corrosion-resistant properties. However, since aluminum silver paste is a specialized material, there are some important usage considerations to keep in mind! 1. Before Use:
Before use, it needs to be pre-dispersed. You can use deionized water (or distilled water, purified water), or even tap water—but make sure to remove free chloride ions from the tap water first. To do this, simply let the water sit uncovered for 24 hours. When pre-dispersing, avoid using excessively high stirring speeds or prolonged stirring times, as this could damage the aluminum-silver paste structure, leading to issues such as coarse particles and dull discoloration.
2. When to Use:
When mixing and stirring the dispersed aluminum-silver paste with resin, it's equally important to ensure that the stirring speed isn't too prolonged. Otherwise, the coating film of the aluminum-silver paste may peel off, leading to direct contact with water and subsequently generating hydrogen gas or emitting VOCs.
