How much do you know about the applications of aluminum silver paste and silver powder? Before diving into their uses, let’s first explore the relevant knowledge about these materials! Aluminum silver paste, known in English as "Aluminiumpaste," is also referred to by other names such as "aluminum powder paste" or "glitter paste." Its main components are flake-shaped aluminum particles and petroleum-based solvents, giving it a paste-like consistency. It boasts exceptional light-reflecting properties and a striking metallic sheen. When mixed with transparent, colored pigments, the resulting coating exhibits a vivid "angle-dependent color shift effect," creating a stunningly elegant and visually captivating decorative finish.
While silver powder is often mistakenly considered another name for aluminum powder by most people, this isn’t actually the case. Due to its silvery-white metallic luster, it’s professionally referred to as aluminum-silver powder or simply silver powder. Its chemical composition is derived from the secondary processing of aluminum-silver paste, giving it many of the same properties as the original paste.
Aluminum silver paste is widely used in numerous fields, including automotive paints, motorcycle paints, bicycle paints, plastic coatings, architectural coatings, inks, as well as mobile phone casings and buttons, electro-mechanical device housings, electrical enclosures, and metallic paints. It is particularly prominent in applications such as automotive coatings, low-voltage plastic coatings, metal industrial coatings, marine paints, heat-resistant coatings, and roofing materials.
Aluminum silver powder is commonly used in the powder coating industry, including applications such as automotive coatings, electrical appliance coatings, outdoor furniture, lawn and gardening equipment coatings, architectural paints, and electronic/electrical coatings. The aluminum silver paste produced by Xuyang features a basic single-layer SiO₂ coating, offering excellent cost-effectiveness and providing advantages—both in terms of manufacturing processes and pricing—over similar products on the market.
