Introduction to the Properties and Wide-Ranging Applications of Aluminum Silver Paste

Release date:

2018-02-23

Aluminum-silver paste properties: Aluminum-silver paste is not easily flammable or explosive. Key technical requirements for identifying aluminum-silver paste include its opacity, glossiness, ignition performance, metallic luster, and smoothness. Aluminum-silver paste models are classified based on particle size. Applications: It is widely used in plastic coatings, hardware and appliance paints, motorcycle paints, bicycle coatings, and more. According to the Chemical Hazardous Substances Catalogue, aluminum-silver paste falls under Class 33646: paints, auxiliary materials, and coatings containing Class II flammable solvents. However, due to increasing international and domestic demands for environmental protection and safety in chemical products in recent years, domestic manufacturers have gradually shifted their production processes—no longer relying on Class II flammable solvents as carriers, but instead opting for materials with higher flash points.

Aluminum Silver Paste Properties

Aluminum silver paste is not easily flammable or explosive. Covering power, glossiness, ignition performance, metallic properties, and smoothness are the technical requirements for identifying aluminum silver paste. Aluminum silver paste models are classified according to particle size.

Usage

Widely used in plastic paints, hardware and home appliance paints, motorcycle paints, bicycle paints, and more.

According to the Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals, aluminum silver paste falls under Class 33646: paints, auxiliary materials, and coatings containing Class II flammable solvents. However, due to increasing international and domestic demands for environmental protection and safety in chemical products in recent years, domestic manufacturers have shifted their production processes—no longer using Class II flammable solvents as carriers, but instead opting for safer, more environmentally friendly solvents with higher flash points. As a result, the aluminum silver paste currently produced no longer qualifies as a hazardous material based on its actual chemical properties.

Aluminum powder is a major category among metal pigments due to its wide range of applications, high demand, and diverse varieties. The aluminum powder particles used in pigments are flake-shaped, and it is precisely this flaky particle structure that gives aluminum powder its metallic luster and shielding properties.
